My Kingdom for a Horse

I have recently started a new quilt especially for Horse Lovers!  It will feature multiple embroidered blocks of different horse breeds.  I know I can't possibly be the only one out there who stitches and loves horses!  I hope you enjoy this free design!  This first block will finish at 12" square. If you are planning on making the complete quilt, get about 3 yards of background fabric.  (I am not sure of the exact yardage that I will be using since the quilt is still in the design phase, but that should be plenty.)
